Stoneydown Park Primary School
2005
At Stoneydown we aim to:
- Develop a whole school approach to teaching and learning that provides children with a broad, balanced, stimulating and challenging curriculum.
- Create opportunities for children of all abilities to experience personal achievement, to produce high quality work across the curriculum and to receive rewards for their successes.
- Enable children to gain an understanding of their responsibilities for behaving positively and respectfully towards others in the school and the wider community.
- Ensure all children and adults follow the schools equal opportunities policy.
- Create a safe and enriching environment as a focal point for the local community where everyone in the community feels welcomed and supported.
Therefore all the Staff and Governors at Stoneydown will:
- Maintain orderly classrooms, corridors, dinner hall and playgrounds.
- Look out for and deal with bullying and bad behaviour.
- Listen to what children tell us.
- Reward their good work and behaviour.
- Provide Literacy and Numeracy lessons and also sessions for Science, ICT, Art, Music, PE, Geography, History, Technology, RE, Citizenship and PSHE.
- Take children on school trips linked to their class work or invite specialist workers to come into school.
