20 Jul 2006 - PTA Fundraising

On Thursday July 20th, Shenagh, Christine and Amanda came into our final assembly of the year and presented Ms Brown with a cheque for the school fund. The PTA have raised £2000 this year, a big chunk of this coming from the fantastic summer fete a couple of weeks ago.

Last year they also raised £2000 and this money went towards a brand new climbing frame in the Junior playground.

The climbing frame is now in but can't be used until the safety surfacing is ready which will be in the new school year.

Some of last year's money also went towards the new STONEYDOWN sign over the front door of the school that was produced during Art Week by a group of children.

Children, staff and parents can now come up with ideas for spending this year's £2000!
