It was great to see the windows finished and the climbing frame in place. Im 13 now and i have moved to Suffolk but i miss all my friends at stoneydown and the teachers too. My new school is great, we get to take items such as a Nintendo DS.We have our own swimming pool and giant sports field. I miss Miss Barnes and because i have moved away when i was at willowfield secondary school i also miss my friends there. Its different up here, when i look out my room i can see fields and horses, and just down the road is pets corner and power boat racing on Oulton Broad.

Are there no pupils of my vintage out there?I went to Stoneydown when it first opened in I think 1963 or 64 when Miss Hicks was Headmistress and other teachers were Mr Williams and Mr Knowles.Stoneydown took pupils who were originally at Coppermill Lane and Greenleaf schools if I remember right.
Always remember the playground with the concrete pipe tunnels and also while I was there the Tube line was being built (Victoria Line?) to Walthamstow at the back of the school.
I left in I think 1964 to move to Bishops Stortford after taking the 11+,anyone remember that? :-0

hi i left in 1998 i lived in walthamstow all my life and have just moved to ilford missing the whole place loads and seeing this website has brought back a lot of memories. during my time here i remmeber loads of techers like mr Ears, ms freeston, ms roscow and not 2 forget ms dellafield. p.s does ms mehmet still work there i,m in her son tariks yr. gotta go now probably come to check this site another time.

Willowfield school is alright but Stoney down is the best.
I wanted to say thank you to Joe the caretaker for putting the boys football team (2003) picture.
The 2003 team which I was in was the best team.

I just want to say how good it is to see all the smiling faces on this website. I first went to Stoneydown School when it was new - I was in Year 5 then I think. My teacher was Mr Williams, and I also had Miss Tovey. I think Miss Hicks was the headmistress. Before that I went to Coppermill Juniors! So I am now very old!
I hope the statue is still there in the courtyard.
Do all the children still get to play in the playground that was there, and in the tunnels?
I also remember all the noise when they built the Victoria Line.

I left Stoneydown in 2000 when I was in year 4 because my dad got a job In west London so we had to move.I was so upset the day I left because it was a great school.The teachers were really nice and I had lots of friends there.I still keep in contact with Amy Ward,Kathryn Bryan,Rebecca Hall and Laura Peling.I would like to say hi to all the teachers and children at Stoneydown.All the children should feel priviledged to go to such a great school.In harrow I have been to 2 schools but neither one ever compared to Stoneydown.Me and my mum are liking Harrow more now but it took us a while to settle in as we loved Walthamstow so much.If anyone wants to contact me my email is(do not laugh) needlerooser@aol.com or if you want to see my mum she still works in Sainburys in the High Street on Saturdays.(You can't get rid of us).We are frequently coming back to visit so maybe we could pay a visit to the school.

This is a great website I use to go to Stoneydown but I left in 1999 my name is sarah hart stoney down was great i was also in Nicolas's class my classmates were Nicola, rebekah,Chantelle,sophie,kirsty,andrew,AJ if you know me E-m@il me please.

I left stoney down school in 1999-i am now in year 9 and preparing for my sats -I had miss auty ,and my brother christopher in year 6 is still at the school ,if anyone knows who i am please leave a message-i went ot the school from nursery.i was in class 9a.with umar,michelle,andrew,keliechi etc.from nick hambis !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I was, untill 1994, a student at your school and I just wanted to know what has happened since I so abruptly left, due to my parents divorce.
I would have finished in September of 1995 and I can't remember much except for the layout and so on. I thought I'd trace the foundation of my education back to its roots.
I am currently reading Drama Studies at King Alfred's College, Winchester, Hants.

Hello Stoneydown, I attended your school many years ago. I was Linda Gladding then and had many happy years there. I also lived at No. 9 Stoneydown House, which overlooks the school. Stoneydown was a great school and the teachers were the best. Thank you for giving me such a good education, pity it didn't carry on when we got to McEntee!

I attended stoneydown in the early 1970's. it was a great school then and from the comments I have read, it is a great school now. well done to all the staff over the years for everything they have achieved for the pupils and school.
It was nice to suddenly find that stoneydown has a website, it brought back fond memories.

i really like the school, i enjoy school very much. Miss ismal is a fashion teacher and she is a muslim. she keeps her hair open. the teachers are very help ful.

Really loved to see Sylvia's dragon on your home page. Being Welsh, she's crazy about dragons - she even has one to keep her safe at night, called Idris (which is a mountain in Wales). I know the dragon at school was a Chinese one, but that's OK because she was born in the year of the dragon. The children in class 1A had a really lovely time making the dragon and rushing around inside it! Nahtan was in the head. Sylvia says he's a very sensible boy who can be counted on to find the right way round the hall, leading all the other dragoneers!

Great to see Freddy's (Freddy Cassford) school on the web and even better is the picture of Freddy with his Nanna getting some refreshments. A great idea well done.

Me and my daughter courtney who is in the nursery have just been looking at the photos in the gallery very entertaining. Courtney was quite impressed to see her school on the internet. well done to all involved

This is a great idea. Well done Stoneydown. Now I won't have to worry about Freddy losing the monthly newsletters (which he always does) as I can get the dates from the web site.

I am an ex-pupil whon now has a daughter at Stoneydown. Great start and best wishes for development of the site.
